MKA Recognised Breed Groupings For International And MKA Championship Shows
Due to the great difference between MKA and FCI groupings, the MKA is adopting the followings FCI groupings. (Effective 1st January 2005)
FCI Groups

| Group 2 | Pinscher and Schnauzer - Molossoid breeds - Swiss Mountain and Cattle Dogs and other breeds |
| Group 3 | Terriers |
| Group 4 | Dachshunds |
| Group 5 | Spitz and Primitive types |
| Group 6 | Scenthounds and related breeds |
| Group 7 | Pointing Dog |
| Group 8 | Retrievers, Flushing Dog, Water Dog |
| Group 9 | Toy and Companion |
| Group 10 | Sighthounds |
| Group 11 | Provisional |
